Spanish Language Immersion Program
Cost - $600 plus airfare
The cost of this trip will be $600 plus airfare. Airfare from Raleigh-Durham to Guatemala City is estimated to be $650. The amount paid by each group member will cover tuition, room and board, transportation to and from the Guatemala City airport, meals while traveling in Guatemala, afternoon activities, a weekend excursion, the UMVIM fee, medical insurance, accident insurance, and emergency evacuation insurance. The only additional money a participant will need is for souvineers, meals while traveling to and from Guatemala, snacks and drinks, and other personal expenses such as telephone calls, internet usage, and laundry service. Airfare is the responsiblility of each group member and is not included in the cost of this trip.
Applications may be obtained from group leader John Benson at jbenson23@embarqmail.com. The group will be limited to 14 people. Applications will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis, should be mailed to John Benson, PO Box 714, Rodanthe, NC 27968, and must include a $100 deposit (check payable to John O. Benson) to insure a spot on the team. Applications must be received prior to September 1 and the full amount of the trip cost must be paid before October 1.
